Singaporean Real Wedding

GERALD THERSIA | JEN TANGLIN SINGAPORE

“Finally!”

at least, that word comes in my mind after we landed on Singapore last week, yes “We” because I travel along with my wife, Imelda for this time wedding.

and definitely, this is my wife’s first debute as wedding make up artist since her kind of make up doesn’t fit Indonesian bride at all, well.. talk about our kind of makeup, maybe you can see on pictures below, the bride request to be “flawless” which has many definitions in many perspections nowadays.

We may see many pictures on social media with “flawless” hashtaged on the makeup post, but if you watch it more specific.. it wasn’t flawless at all, since the bride’s face has been applied so many “ingredients” that instantly changed the look of the bride herself. well, I’m not a makeup artist while writing this post,I try to put myself as a photographer that loves how couples react naturally, how they were comfortly posed and how real wedding should be.

so,talk about makeup, and the Groom here (Gerald) is a really detailed man I know, well at our first sessions in Bandung. He watched how Thersia’s would be alike after makeup, and I asked him why? simply answered that he wants to see the bride he knew, not somebody turns somebody.

glad for me, I met the right couple then. I was totally in love while shooting them as seen on previous posts that it was quite easy to photograph them. we talk a lot, we laugh a lot, many jokes and laughters during sessions and how we were awesomely sun lighted that day.

and glad for Imelda, that they (Gerald&Thersia) realized not all Indo makeup artists have the same perspectives about “how flawless is somebody’s makeup?”. and how Imel’s kind of makeup does really successful made the bride really “her” on the wedding day.

and for me, as a photographer, I learned so much during their wedding day. I met and work with Samantha, a young energetic Singaporean female photographer who led the process by process of their wedding day.

We learned so much for this time Singaporean wedding, and the biggest blessing from this couple is a “family feel”, that we are no longer client and vendor who professionally connected, but now we are “heartly connected” as a family.

glad to be part on your wedding day, dear Gerald my bro! and Thersia, adik!

looking forward for another holiday trip soon with you guys!

happy wedding!

cheers!

Hanhan , Imelda & Jayden!
